At Hicksville Public Schools, Shared Decision Making is a process by which all members of the education community at the district and school levels cooperate in identifying educational issues, defining goals, formulating policy, and implementing and assessing activities to help students reach standards of excellence.
Built on the foundation that teachers, parents, bargaining unit members, community members, and administrators bring unique strengths and perspectives, our site-based teams work collaboratively to improve the educational performance of all children in the district.
