The Aquatic Center will be open to the public for limited lap swimming hours only. You must be a resident of Hicksville to utilize the facility. We are committed to keeping you healthy and safe and we request your cooperation in that effort. Please know that you may be turned away if the facility is occupied to capacity limits, there will be limits posted at the facility, limits will vary by specific activity.

The facility is closed when the schools are closed.

  • Monday - Wednesday- Friday
    8:00-10:00am

        • Please see website for rules and protocols for the use of the facility.
          This is a “Lap Pool” – not a recreational pool facility.
          Please note that all lanes will be utilized for lap swim
  • Saturday & Sunday
    7:00am-11:00am

    • Anyone under the age of 15 will need to attend with a parent- will be subject to a ‘swim test’ to determine level of ability
    • No Fee at this time:
      • Must show a Hicksville ID
      • Must sign in at desk
        • Please see website for rules and protocols for the use of the facility.
          This is a “Lap Pool” – not a recreational pool facility.

  • Students in grades 4-12 who have the ability to swim who may want to improve
    their skills as swimmers as well as students who wish to learn how to Dive.
    TIME: 2:35pm- 4:30pm - March 9- June 14

    SENIOR CITIZEN SWIM : 11:00am-1:00pm - M-W-F (50 or older)
    INTERSCHOLASTIC SWIM: 2:30pm – 4:30pm- M-W-F
    PUBLIC LAP SWIM : M-W-F - 4:30PM-6:30PM
    WEEKEND PUBLIC LAP SWIM: SATURDAY - SUNDAY 7:00-11:00am

  • To help ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone, please follow these rules while using the Hicksville Aquatic Center. Failure to comply with these rules or directions from lifeguards and staff may result in removal from the facility.

    • Shower before entering the pool.
    • Do not use the pool if you are ill or have symptoms of a contagious illness, open sores, skin infections, or other conditions that could affect the health and safety of others.
    • Follow all directions from lifeguards and Aquatic Center staff at all times.
    • No diving except where specifically permitted. The diving board is reserved for approved school team practices and competitions.
    • Children under 15 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Lifeguards may require a swim test before allowing access to deep water.
    • Swimmers requiring assistance must be accompanied in the water by an adult within arm's reach.
    • A valid photo ID is required for entry. Admission is permitted only during scheduled public swim or program hours.
    • Appropriate swim attire is required. Street clothes, gym clothes, and diapers (including swim diapers) are not permitted in the pool.
    • Cameras, video recording, and photography are prohibited inside the Aquatic Center.
    • Food, beverages, gum, and glass containers are not permitted in the pool area. Water in plastic bottles is allowed.
    • Smoking, vaping, alcohol, and illegal drugs are prohibited anywhere on school grounds.
    • Running, rough play, offensive language, and disruptive behavior are not permitted.
    • Pool toys, radios, and other unauthorized equipment are not allowed.
    • Lap lanes are reserved for lap swimming only. Please follow all lane assignments and lifeguard instructions.
    • Hyperventilation, prolonged breath-holding, and other unsafe swimming practices are prohibited.
    • Please help keep the facility clean by using lockers appropriately and disposing of all trash properly.

  • To help maintain a clean, safe, and respectful environment for all patrons, please observe the following locker room guidelines:

    • Bring your own lock if you wish to secure personal belongings. Hicksville Public Schools is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
    • Remove your lock and all personal belongings before leaving the facility. Locks left on lockers after hours will be removed, and any remaining items will be discarded. Lost and found services are not available.
    • Locker rooms, restrooms, and showers are available only for Aquatic Center patrons during scheduled pool programs. They are not available for track participants or spectators of outdoor events.
    • Please limit your time in the locker room and help keep the area clean for others.
    • Restroom stalls are intended for restroom use only and should not be used as changing areas.
    • Choose the locker room that is most appropriate while respecting the privacy of all patrons. Families requiring assistance or accommodations should speak with the senior lifeguard on duty.
    • Be respectful of others by maintaining appropriate behavior, language, and personal space.
    • Food, beverages, gum, and powders (including baby powder and talcum powder) are not permitted in the locker rooms.
    • Cameras, video recording, and photography are strictly prohibited in the locker rooms and on the pool deck.
