2025-2026 New York State Standardized Assessments Results

Dear Hicksville Parents/Guardians,

2025-2026 New York State Standardized Assessments Results are now available as downloadable or printable PDF files on the parent portal. These include the following assessments if taken by your child in the 2025-2026 school year:

• Grades 3-8 Mathematics

• Grades 3-8 English Language Arts

• Grade 5 Science

To access your child's assessments, please follow these steps:

Log into the parent portal

Once you are logged in, in the navigation tab, click or tap "Assessment Portfolio" at the bottom of the left side navigation:

Next, select "NYS Assessment Reports" and drill down to the specific assessment report you would like to view:

Understanding the Data & How It Supports Your Child
State assessments provide a standardized snapshot of your child's academic progress relative to New York State Next Generation Learning Standards. In our district, assessment data is never used in isolation. Instead, it serves as one of several vital tools to guide our instructional planning and support systems:

• Targeted Instructional Support: Scores help our educators identify specific skill areas where students excel or need additional reinforcement, guiding classroom differentiation and Academic Intervention Services (AIS) under NYSED regulations.
• Curriculum Improvement: Aggregate data allows our leadership teams to evaluate curriculum alignment, refine instructional strategies, and deploy additional resources where they are needed most.
• Holistic Growth Monitoring: We view state assessment results alongside daily classwork, district benchmark assessments, and teacher observations to build a complete picture of your child's overall academic growth.
