Our Dutch Lane School community has much to be grateful for! We had a successful food collection drive that ensured a food-filled Thanksgiving holiday for several members of our community and coordinated this service learning project to our annual “Scare Away Hunger” program.
Our dedicated PTA invited students to help create eighteen scarecrows during their recess period. These scarecrows were “planted” in front of the Dutch Lane School.
Part of our Dutch Lane School mission states that we will “continue to be responsible members of our community, NOW and ALWAYS! We hope that these service learning experiences, shared at our school, will allow our students to do so.
