  • Dr. K's Motown Review

On Friday April 15, Hicksville High School hosted a performance by Dr. K’s Motown Review. The eleven piece ensemble led by Hicksville High School Alum, bassist Paul Korman, mingled the events of the 19060s-70s America with stories of Hicksville High School. The near capacity crowd was dancing in the aisles to hit songs as if they were on American Bandstand. High School music teacher Ms. Noll and her string ensemble students joined the band for two songs. Another Hicksville Alum Tommy Sullivan, of 1960s band Johnny Maestro and the Brooklyn Bridge opened the show with an upbeat set that concluded with a rousing rendition of God Bless the U.S.A... All the veterans in the audience were invited on stage to thunderous applause. Thank you to the Hicksville Alumni Association for their initiation of this great event.
